About
Do you need encouragement?
People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing - that’s why we recommend it daily.

Welcome to Reason-4-Smile, a personal development blog that is aimed to help you to enjoy your success journey.
When you travel towards your objective, be sure to pay attention to the path.
~Paulo Coelho
Success is a journey and not a destination, it’s what I believe and what I’m going to share in this blog.
- First, it’s a journey from success to success. And it doesn’t have to be only the big ones, but even any small steps or achievements. That’s the success breeds success principle, and you better start considering each day as a success.
- Second, it’s a journey that each of us can start right now, with whatever we have, and we don’t even have to postpone.
- And lastly, it must be enjoyable, hence the Happiness in Success Journey. We will not know whether we will spend your life more in the journey or at the destination; if you do not enjoy it right now, what a waste your life will be.
My journey
This blog will share with you 4 perspectives of my journey. It’s about who I am right now, it’s about the responsibility I have in my hand (The ENGINEER), and the passion that I have started doing (The BLOGGER). It also talks about my dream and a figure I wanted to be (The LEADER), and also about who I am today (The HUMAN). As you will see, my articles will share mostly from one of these perspectives. These are some snippets of what it is going to be all about. For more information, you can check out my article when I publish the new theme “Happiness in Success Journey“.
It’s started with passion, to write and to learn. And it taught me a lot of things, here is a summary of that Seven benefits of blogging to your personal growth. Blogging is not only about writing, it’s more than that. When you consider it as a business, you will have a lot of opportunity as a business owner do. From decision making, networking, branding, marketing, and many more stuffs. And some comes with a dilemma, as my article shared it in Money and blogging, the opportunity and the dilemma. Blogging is about sharing your story, your journey, and the hope that others will be inspired and motivated by it.
What will you do when you are simply an employee and engineer. Often what we makes money from, is not something that we really passionate about. Sometimes it’s more about making the ends meet, or responsibility that we bear towards ourselves or people that we care about. Some will say, you better quit, leave your job and follow your passion, but it’s not always that easy. Sometimes, you need a better attitude on facing the responsibility you have today. It’s about how your attitude should be in facing your daily routine, your day to day work. Whatever you do right now, there are at least Five things that you should never ever postpone. While adventure is also important, patience and obedience is having the same importance on how you can achieve the limitless possibilities (Read: Three secrets to limitless possibilities).
Leader represents my vision and dream. But leadership is not something we start practising when we reach certain position. John C. Maxwell said it clearly, “Leadership is a decision, and not a destiny.” It seems that leadership is a journey instead of a destination. While some might be born with some leadership traits, leadership is almost always made. And leadership is not easy, it’s hard works, but nevertheless, this is my dream.
Dream as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow!
~James Dean
When you dream, Dream as if you will live forever, and dream beyond you and your needs. Here is the Ten symptoms of having vision beyond yourself. I hope this category will encourage you to dream big and start preparing to receive the realization of your dream.
What are you facing today? It might be limitations and failures, but they should not make you depressed. In fact, here is How failures can make you smile. And more than that, it’s about enjoying who you are today. You don’t have to envy or jealous, you don’t have to be greedy and comparing to one another. As I shared here, in the Eight reminders to overcome greediness.
What you resist will persist, but what you befriend, you will transcend.
~Robin Sharma
It is about another perspective that you can have with your limitation. Befriending them instead of resisting them. In detail, there are 5 steps to win with your limitations. Don’t get me wrong! I have my own share as well, those are the 7 interesting (and useful) facts about my flaw. It was a series of messages about turning limitation into advantages, and I will share about it more here.
As you will see, this blog is not only about a journey towards a success, but also about how we can find happiness in the journey as well. You can subscribe to my blog to keep updated with more insights and motivational message, either with RSS or email.
Keep in touch!
A companion in your success journey,

Another great article. It is always a pleasure to stumble your posts.
How did you get so wise - so young?
January 6th, 2008 at 11:24 pm
Hi Corinne, thanks for the compliment!
First, is that I’m looking forward to God, every day looking forward to wisdom from God! Not many posts I have in hand to be posted, so looking forward to Him to teach me something and give me wisdom to be shared to my readers!
Second, is that I’m reading books, blogging has boosted my reading speed as never before, whenever I find some interesting statement, I underlined them, and I wrote the page number at the end of the book, for me to refer to them again when I’m about to share them! Teaching and sharing in the blog makes me learn much much more!
Third, I’m also inspired by many blogs in the blogosphere, and one of them is yours! Thanks for sharing your wisdom, Corinne!
And by the way, I’m still young =), doing is not as easy as writing or talking, the reason I wrote down is
1. to declare what I’m pursuing, to be a better person…, sometimes we can’t affirm but we can start declaring
for more info, check my post..
Start declaring (though you can’t affirm)
2. as an action plan to learn from my failure in the past, so facing the same situation again, I can be reminded to do the right way…
It’s shared by Jonathan Frye in his blog, LeadershipJot.com

Write it out!
Really appreciate your comment,

HI Robert,
I’ve got a technical question. How did you get the . dots, before each category and post in your sidebar. Are they part of the theme? Did I somehow erase that or did you add it? I like it!
Thanks
