All you need to know to create your own happiness
February 29, 2008

How do you define happiness?
Many relate happiness with something they need to pursue and have. Many say that they need to have this and that to be happy.
But here is my finding about happiness, taken from Dan Gilbert video on TedTalk.
We synthesize happiness but we think happiness is a thing to be found.
Dan Gilbert
If I have to define happiness, it is not something that you need to find somewhere; happiness is an option of your response to your circumstances. Happiness is your choice, not what the circumstances give you. Happiness is something you can synthesize…

Dating Introvert: Eight ways to become an attractive woman
February 26, 2008

I’ve done with the men’s part and now I’m getting into the women’s part. What you need to do in getting a date?
Okay, it is not as if I am promoting girls to be aggressive, taking the first step, asking guys out, and so on. I am not against that, it’s only that some guys will be turned off by all that. You will be seen as an aggressive woman, and men, who are normally having a bigger ego, will be trying to run away from you.
Girls, what you need to do is being an attractive person. This is a proactive step you can take. Yup, beauty and size does matter for guys, but it is actually more than that.
I will prove my point with the following points from Bo Sanchez’s book, How to find your one true love. This article will give you few of the insights from his book on finding your one true love. His ministry in Philippine has helped many men and women in their love and relationship life. You can find his website here and you can also buy the e-book from there.
There are 8 points I want to share in this article, inspired by Bo’s book, the 8 ways how you women can become attractive to men…

To change or not to change
February 24, 2008
We are all need to grow, we are all need to change, and that is undeniable.
But… how should we grow and what should we change?
The news today is inspired from “Winning with People” by John C. Maxwell, a quote from him…
When it comes to character issues, work on your weaknesses. When it comes to talents, go with your strengths.
John C. Maxwell
Yesterday I watched Oprah Winfrey show, a collection on her show’s 20th anniversary, the first part that I watched is The Beginning, looking at how she struggled in the beginning of her career, from a reporter to news reader, and eventually a talk-show host. She also struggled with her physical outlook, black and big, but eventually she made it through and very successful as she is now.
Despite of all the admiration, I envy her… I envy her for being such a good communicator, good speaker; she is truly good with words. I envy her for being able to touch lives with so much inspiration, to bring the good from the guests in her show and share them to the world. Then I wonder… how is it possible to do the same thing with my talent? With my blog maybe?

The Contagious Smile
February 23, 2008

I came across an interesting blog by Terence Chang, Smile That Made My Day, giving you faces of smile around the world.
My first reaction of looking at that blog?… Smile, lots of smiles =)
It is so true that smile is contagious, have you ever got flu when you sit next to a person with flu? Similarly, you will smile when you are around a happy and smiling person.
The latest post when this post is written, showing a smiling poor boy, here is what the photographer said…
a smiling face greets me when i visited victoria garden today morning and it made my day. and i wonder what this boy knows that makes him so happy. Despite the fact that he told me that they have no money, he doesn’t go to school and life goes on.

The three steps of being extraordinary
February 18, 2008

Have you read the past three insights I have shared on being extraordinary?
The three articles are the mindsets you need to have on being extraordinary. This article instead, will give you more insights on the bigger picture of how the three pieces relate together.
I was not planning for those three insights to be connected; I was just sharing based on the book that I have randomly read at that point of time. It is only after I share the articles that I see they are connected into a bigger picture.
It is truly the journey of being extraordinary, the journey that starts from attitude to responsibility, from helping yourself to helping others.
"Being extraordinary" articles:
- The five reasons why you’re no ordinary
- Being extraordinary: Excuses you need to stop!
- Being extraordinary: Being an agent of change
- The three steps of being extraordinary
