It’s your discovery day!

Posted by Robert A. on Thursday, January 24th, 2008

The news today? It’s your discovery day!

Do you often feel yourself bored? Or worse, do other people find yourself boring?
Many introverts may think that their life is not interesting, or find it too boring to share to other people.

For those that feels that way, here is a simple quote I’d like to share…

Everybody can have creativity at the personal level and make his or her life more interesting and more like a process of discovery.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Univ. of Chicago Professor and Author

It’s really wonderful to know that we have seeds of creativity within us, we have the potential to make our life more interesting. How to do it? Make today as your discovery day! And Mihaly, pointed a very important point, the creativity at personal level, people may disagree with you, people may doesn’t like what you do, in his words..

When you’re creative, you’re not always dancing to someone else’s tune.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Univ. of Chicago Professor and Author

Dancing on your own’s tune, sounds good, isn’t it? Here are some of the ideas to make today as your discovery day…

Learn something new today! Learn something new today, at least spend sometime to read a book, meet up with friends, learn from your mentors, and so on, make your life as a journey of learning and you’ll find very interesting experiences.

Challenge yourself! Challenge yourself today, to have a dream, to try something new, to make unusual step, to dare to take some risk! When you make action and dare to experience, your life will be more interesting!

Share your life with others! When you believe that your life is interesting, don’t be ashamed to share your life, people may find it strange, weird, or not of their interest, but share with a mindset that you’re giving them your experiences. Focus on the value you’re sharing to the other people, not your performance, or whether you are an interesting person or not.

Another blogger that has inspired me very much about being adventurous is Jean Browman from CheerfulMonk.com, and here is a quote from her…

Stay curious and open to life. No matter what happens keep learning and growing.

—The Cheerful Monk

What’s your idea on making today your discovery day? Feel free to share in the comments.

Have a enjoyable discovery day!

For your success,
Robert
