Limited mindset of introvert

I’m not a good speaker, I don’t think I will be successful!

She is so good with people, having so many friends and connections, future seems so bright for her!

I’m not attractive, people don’t like me, I’m too deep and people find it bo…ring!

Sounds familiar? I believe this relate to an introvert with lower self-esteem very much! Introvert who reflects too much, complaining about not having other people’s capabilities, and being jealous towards others, especially those who are very different from them. This is what I say the limited mindset of introvert.

We need to be aware of this mindset, having this mindset, hardly you will be successful. Whoever you are, you can be successful! Here is quoted from Jack M. Zufelt in his book DNA of Success…

Your mind-set may be that you must be an extrovert to be successful. Although extroverts can be successful, so can people who do not like the limelight. Some of the most quiet, laid-back people I have known are extremely successful.

You can check the link at the bottom of this article for more detail of the book. In the book, Jack emphasized the importance of core desire to be successful, whoever we are, whatever limitation we have, we can have core desire, the one that when we find it, we can pursue them with all our heart. With persistence, and hard work, we can finally be successful.

An example of successful person, who earlier in his life struggling with inferiority and shyness, Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person who reached the summit of Mount Everest in 1953, the highest point on the earth. Here is his past as described by David Rogers in his article “Self Confident men, shy and flamboyant“.

Whatever image you have of Edmund Hillary, remember two facts about him. At school, he was in a gym group for those lacking co-ordination and admitted to feeling a “deep sense of inferiority”. A few years later he was apparently so shy that he proposed to his wife with a message via her mother.

David Rogers @ Confident1

He’s just passed away recently, but people still remember him because he managed to pursue what is impossible and make it possible.

He’s just another example of how a person, despite of his background, can still be successful.

Another example, a person without limbs who become a great spoke person! Check this video of man without limbs, Nick Vujicic from Jacklyn’s blog, Inspiring and Empowering Lives. You have no more excuse not to success!

No matter who you are, whatever limitation you have, don’t see that as a limitation, look at it as advantages. Similar to this blog motto, turn your limitation into advantages! And you can start by having a mindset that you can be successful too. One step at a time, doing your best everyday, grow your best everyday, step by step to reach your dream!

For your success,
Robert

People envy others because of the confidence that they possess. I want to go through life and leave an impression as someone who knows what she wants, is friendly and confident. Great post by the way!

Hi Julia, thanks for the comments.
It’s very true that many being envious of others, because they don’t like themselves. We do really need to start enjoying all of ourselves, our flaw and strengths, that’s how we’ll be confident through life.
Great desire you have there, by the way!

    Cheers,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Great post to read. I believe that everyone have a chance to success even an introvert like me. But if someone is lower self-esteem, then it definitely won’t success even he/she is an extrovert that is active generally.

Yes, Harrison, I second your opinion.
It’s very important to have a great self esteem. Love yourself so that you can love others.
Having great confidence is really needed to be successful in this world, how can anyone believe in value you’re providing, if you yourself don’t even believe in the value you’re giving!

Thanks for the visit and comments.
    Cheers,
    Robert
