We have all faced failure in life, not once but many times, and many of us being controlled by failure instead of taking control of them. A quote from Brian Tracy…
It’s not failure that holds you back, it’s the fear of failure.
Brian Tracy
The quote above is taken from the following video from Brian Tracy:
There are some points that I like from the video that I would like to discuss more here
1. We all have faced failures from time to time.
In other words, we all experienced with failures. Think about it, people who experienced with maths, should be an expert in maths, people experienced with programming should be an expert in programming, people experienced with selling should be an expert in selling. So we are all supposedly an expert in failures.
Let’s learn instead of taking the pain from a failure experience, take the lessons from a failure experience.
2. Fear of failure can hold us back
Sadly, we often associate so much pains with our failures, hence we are so afraid of failure. This will sabotage us a lot from the possibility to be successful in the future. Success requires us to change, and that requires practice. We need practice and that requires actions. And actions will require us to be willing to take risks and failure.
3. Instead of avoiding it, confront your fear.
Another blog post that I read quite recently from Corinne Edwards, wrote this…
If we take the initiative regarding many of our worries, the pressure will lessen. We may still have the problem but we have done something to begin to solve it.
Feel the fear and do it anyway. Take action and do not regret it. It’s a great step that you have taken, take the lesson if you fail, and be thankful if you’re successful.
Just wanna to remind you again that you’re an expert in failure and and an expert of failure is not supposed to be afraid of failure. Take the lessons from your failure, and enjoy your failure!

Some people believe that only “experience” exists. Perception of failure may be grounded in fear or inadequacy, which are all human (ego) inventions.

Hi Liara, I agree with your opinion, it’s all human ego, it’s the feeling that we don’t want to be painful again, hence we don’t want to try again. Sadly, we’re often misguided by our own ego.
