The Invisible Servants

Posted by Robert A. on Monday, November 19th, 2007

I believe in angels…
something good in everything I see,
I believe in angels…
when I know the time is right for me,

I’ll cross the stream, I have a dream…

I’m sure that most of us will know the lyric above, taken from the song I Have A Dream, popularized by Westlife on the year 1999. The song is about the power of dream, beyond our failure and reality. It’s a really good song, but comes to the chorus, something tickles me. How come it mentioned about belief in angels and not in God? It’s before I knew this verse, of how significant angels are in our life…

Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?

Hebrew 1:14 (AMP)

Angels, sent by God, for our assistance, servants of God comes to the world to assist us. The Amplified bible even called them “servants”.

Let’s imagine what will we do when we have these invisible servants, wherever we go?

  1. No privacy! Mmm, that might be a bad thing, it might be the reason why some of us never hire housemaid. Wherever we are, the servants will know what we do, they know our hidden secret, our fear and insecurities, real motives and intention behind our actions. It might be bad, but how about servants that can be trusted even after knowing everything in our life?
  2. No more fear. What are you afraid of if servants are all around you, being awake and protecting you 24/7 a week and 366 days a year? It’s not only all around you but all around your loved ones and belongings.
  3. No more complain of loneliness. The servants are all around you, how can you complain about loneliness?
  4. No more complain of helplessness. No more problem of doing things alone, nor complain about no help from anybody. You have the human resources needed, you have servants, you just need to ask and manage your servants.

The bible promised us that we have that, we have angels all around us all the time. We might have vision that God has put in our life, we may start with only ourselves, and nobody is helping us. It’s the time to make use of your supernatural resources, the angels are there to help you attain God-given purpose. They will provide you with supernatural help nothing of this earth can be compared with.

In conclusion, I believe in angels… will you?
