In The Valley

Thank you for valleys, Lord.
For this one thing I know,
The mountain tops are glorious,
But it’s in the valleys I grow!
It’s a part of In The Valley poem I read from my church bulletin article, written by Elder Elgin Chan. Few things to be learned just from the passage above:
- Be gratitude wherever you are, we can be grateful when we are successful, but how many of us can be grateful when we are in the valleys, when we are in wilderness. Valley signifies our struggle, our limitation and weaknesses. Choose to find something to be thankful everyday even when you’re in the valley.
- Have a vision, look at the mountaintops, put your goals, have hope and faith to reach your goal.
- And grow! It’s also something that we can always be thankful of with the valley, we are growing! Choose to grow wherever you are!
When you’re thankful of the valleys, the journey is enjoyable, and when you’re growing, the wilderness experience we have is shortened.
How we act in the wilderness determines how long we’re gonna stay in the wilderness.
